International training
We work collaboratively to create a formal learning network centered on shared training modules and community-specific modules, with the participation of various master’s programs across Latin America. This initiative introduces a practical, research-oriented teaching approach within a consortium of twelve graduate programs in Physics and Computer Science across Central America and the Tropical Andes. The main training components focus on:
- Data Science
- Scientific Instrumentation
- Disciplinary Areas
During the first semester (16 weeks), two common training courses are offered, structured around the following core areas: Data Science and Scientific Instrumentation, plus one disciplinary course. Participation is fully online. There are mandatory synchronous sessions as well as asynchronous sessions. Each course is equivalent to 10 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System). In total, the semester offers the equivalent of 30 ECTS.
The EL-BONGÓ learning environment emphasizes innovative digital learning methods with flexible curricula within creative ecosystems. The training experience includes network-based activities such as workshops, seminars, mentoring sessions, internships, and practices.
