With the promise of a conversation in full swing, the EL-BONGÓ physics project invites you to two remote sessions (November 4 and 11), which will offer an overview of the impact in Latin America of the areas of High Energy Physics, Astroparticles and Multimessengers, Geophysics, Artificial Intelligence, and Computational Physics.
These sessions will also present the scientific training pathway for young people in the region proposed by this Erasmus initiative, whose first cohort will begin in 2026.

The meeting will take place via Zoom at 15:00 GMT (10:00 a.m. Bogotá, Lima, Quito; 9:00 a.m. Central America) and can also be followed on the EL-BONGÓ physics YouTube channel.
The two sessions will feature the main coordinators of the pedagogical axis of EL-BONGÓ physics, as well as representatives from each of the knowledge communities involved.
On November 4, details will be shared about the training in these fields of knowledge and their importance for Latin America, as well as the pedagogical strategies aimed at building capacities through the logic of open data, collaborative communities, and digital fabrication of scientific instruments.
On November 11, the specific training features for each of the selected knowledge areas within this Erasmus initiative will be presented.
As a reminder, EL-BONGÓ physics (E-Latin America Digital huB for OpeN Growing cOmmunities in physics) will launch its first cohort in 2026, inviting students from various master’s programs in twelve universities across Andean and Central American countries, with shared training modules and opportunities for participation in international scientific collaboration projects.
The project has formed communities throughout Latin America that have identified specific training needs for the new generations of scientists in Advanced Physics.
